Now GREATER capacity for polyclonal antibody production
Due to the increasing demand of goat antibodies, we have now expanded our animal facilities during 2011, in order to provide spacious winter shelter for twice as many animals as we have today. The rare goat breed at the Capra Science organic farm has proved a success in antibody production. In comparison to competitors, our goats have shown to be extremely well suited for the purpose of antibody production in terms of antigen-specific antibody yields. This has been conveyed to us by many of our customers.

Capra Science receives another reward
The founder, Dr. Lovisa Hessle Bergman, has received another reward for her achievements with Capra Science, this time from “Gösta och Anna-Birgit Henrikssons Fund” through the Swedish Agricultural University in Alnarp. Jury motivation: Capra Science successfully generates polyclonal antibodies without compromising animal keeping, ethics or environment, and at the same time contributes to keeping the southern Swedish countryside alive.

CAPRA SCIENCE WINS AWARD
Capra Science founder, Dr. Lovisa Hessle Bergman, has been awarded the Young Entrepreneur Prize 2011 and 50.000 SEK by Länsförsäkringar and LRF. The jury motivation (in Swedish): “Lovisa tar initiativ och har starka drivkrafter för nyskapande. Hon har med egna medel och enträget arbete jobbat fram ett koncept som skiljer sig från mängden vid framställning av serum för sjukvård och forskning. Capra Science har djuromsorg som högsta prioritet. Dessutom visar Lovisa och Capra Science att man kan göra en förändring och på sikt påverka andra till en bättre djurhållning. Länsförsäkringar och LRF Ungdom vill med detta pris visa på hur viktigt det är med god djuromsorg i alla led och att en ibland ifrågasatt bransch har sina ljusglimtar.”
