Generating Antibodies against Antigens that are Difficult to Purify
If you need a specific antibody towards a certain protein that is challenging to purify, a high-quality antigen can be accomplished in other ways. Examples of proteins that are usually difficult to purify to high purity are membrane proteins, expressed proteins that get enclosed in inclusion bodies, and proteins that form tight complexes to other macromolecules.
Capra Science has a large tool box in generating antigens for complex antibody productions. For one project, peptide design can be the answer, and for a second project, DNA-immunization is favorable, and for a third project, a recombinant production of a subunit will do the trick. We also take into account the immunogenesity and sequence-homology compaired to the host, in the design and project outline of your antibody generation.
