Target Validation of QC Antibodies

Confirming binding of your antibody to the target is essential in target validation. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is our general QC-analysis that we perform on every custom antibody. In our antibody generation services, both antiserum and purified antibodies are analyzed by ELISA to validate binding to your immobilized antigen.

In summary, Capra Science lab team can assist you with the following QC-analysis to prove the target-validation, specificity and quality of your antibody:

  • QC-ELISA for target validation (for example indirect ELISA, direct ELISA, competition ELISA)

  • Extended QC-ELISA to verify specificity

Generally, a QC-ELISA is included in every outline of antibody production, and the results are normally presented in an ELISA report before delivery. Capra Science also carries out annual ELISAs to confirm the performance of client’s antibody during long-term storage, which is sometimes a requirement for “TBD”-labelling of the expiry date.
